About the Author
Avinash Poddar, a Chartered Accountant and a Law graduate, is a senior partner in “M/s A A P and Co.”, Chartered Accountants, Surat (Gujarat). He have more than 16 years of experience and have primarily worked in the areas of Direct Taxation, Auditing and Software Development and sales. With the phase of time, his interest inclined towards Indirect Taxes and thereby his focus on Service Tax and Excise.
He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFPCM), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). He has also qualified DISA from ICAI and has completed Post Graduate Certificate in Cyber Law (PGCCL). Also, he has successfully completed various Certificate Courses of ICAI such as Arbitration, Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection, Valuation, IFRS, Indirect Taxes.
He is also delivering lectures on current issues in Service Tax and Excise at various seminars organised by professional bodies. He is writing articles on the current issues in the news letters, journals etc.
